Hypothyroidism and Homeopathy

Ann has helped me with a number of issues, so I approached her for help with Hypothyroidism.

This was identified some 30 years ago after radiotherapy to treat breast cancer and the birth of my son. I have been taking Levothyroxine ever since. For many years I suffered no side effects, but following a decrease in my daily dose due to an EU mandate to all UK GPs to lower the dosage of this medication, I started to notice I was becoming breathless when walking any distance at all, especially when carrying anything, or after a meal, and suffering from severe back-pain meaning I could only walk for a few minutes before having to sit down.

I started to become exhausted by midday every day and was gradually sleeping up to 2hrs every afternoon, even after good sleep at night. Over time I also found that my muscles were feeling very weak, leading to aching after the smallest amount of exertion. All this was very debilitating and at 75 I was becoming a 'real old lady' thinking I might have to start using a walking-aid quite soon.

After an in-depth study of my symptoms Ann gave me a one-dose remedy. I really couldn't believe that this would have any effect at all on my long-term problems and had no expectations, but I trusted her knowledge and 'gave it a go'.

To my absolute amazement, and that of my family and close friends, from the very next day I felt 'back to normal' in terms of fatigue and no longer needed an afternoon sleep. In fact there hasn't been a single day since that very first day when I have needed to crawl under the covers in the afternoon!

Not only that, but I have started to eat much more healthily and to exercise regularly and to thoroughly enjoy both of these healthy lifestyle changes. I should add that these changes are both very unlike me, and have surprised everyone around me!

Ann then gave me a further remedy to help with the muscle-weakness and breathlessness and I have been taking that for a few weeks. Yesterday I walked for 50 minutes with no back pain, no breathlessness and none of the appalling muscle-weakness which has plagued me for so long, in fact I wasn't even stiff afterwards.

I cannot thank Ann enough for her persistence and the in-depth study and understanding she has put into helping me with these issues.

I am a different person these days, full of vitality and no longer that sluggish 75 year old from a few months ago. Distorted Sense of Smell after Covid

After Covid I was left with a distorted sense of taste and smell - it was so bad I struggled to leave my flat as the smells in the street were so repulsive. My diet, which had been varied until that point, had become very limited and I cut out all the foods that physically turned my stomach.

I saw an ENT specialist who was unable to help and suggested I give it time. I did, but nothing changed other than my life was shrinking on a daily basis.

Within three weeks of seeing Ann on Zoom, and taking the remedies she prescribed, I smelled perfume for the first time. And my sense of taste and smell continued to improve daily. I cannot tell you how grateful I am - I have my life back.  Elena

Sore Throat

On suddenly developing a sore throat one evening, I feared the onset of a nasty cold which would prevent me from attending a much anticipated event. I contacted Ann immediately and she responded promptly, listening carefully as I described my symptoms and recommending a suitable remedy.

Broken Arm and Finger

I am an active 78-year-old and live in Scotland.  A fall resulted in a badly broken arm which could not be set, and a broken finger on the other hand. Additionally, my confidence was knocked and I was in shock.

From the initial consultation and detailed history-taking, all via Zoom, to receipt of the prescriptions with clear dosage instructions, Ann's care extended over several months and included follow-ups where I was encouraged to give feedback on any changes and progress.

I was amused when, on my hospital follow up, the consultant looked at my x rays and commented, 'Your body is healing amazingly quickly.'  I have since written to share my homeopathic treatment with him.

Shoulder replacement avoided?

I fell and broke my shoulder on a Saturday evening and discovered to my horror that there was no treatment or support for such a break apart from a light wrist and cuff sling. The pain was excruciating and I was given NSAID painkillers in A&E and sent home. I spoke to Ann the following day and she visited me at my home 36 hrs after the accident.

Having taken my case on the phone Ann arrived with various well-thought out remedies which I took straightaway. One of these remedies was specifically for bone healing, I understood.

Within an hour I felt strange activity in my arm, like a rippling sensation, and when I saw the Orthopaedic Consultant two weeks later he was able to tell me from CT scan and X-rays that the piece of bone, sheered off the top of my shoulder, had found its way back into its rightful place and was healing well. "I thought we would be talking about a shoulder replacement today," he said.

Ann also gave me a remedy for the pain and I found I was able to come off the strong NSAIDs after less than a week, much to my relief, whilst continuing to take the homeopathic remedies.I cannot thank Ann enough for the speed with which she saw me and for the skill with which she prescribed the clearly very appropriate remedies. An acute flare up of a chronic condition

A mother contacted me about her 3-year-old son; he had now had a paroxysmal cough for more than 4 weeks – he couldn't stop coughing at particular times of day and night. He was wheezing and he sounded breathless. The cough was keeping him awake and was causing him to vomit repeatedly. He was congested, couldn't breathe through his nose. The medical advice was to take Paracetamol.

His specific symptoms and also his response to his specific symptoms (what made his symptoms better or worse) led me to one remedy. I gave him two doses and the message from his mother came back loud and clear- her son was no longer coughing at night, he sounded much better, no wheezing … "he was fine".

Sinus pain and discomfort after flying

A patient contacted me with severe sinus pain, headache and felt exhausted despite just coming back from a week's break; the pain was solely on the right hand side of her face and didn't just affect her sinuses but her right eye, temple and the back of her head - again on the right only. Her head was throbbing on and off. She felt her right nostil was blocked and desite sneezing and blowing her nose she could not clear it. It was uncomfortable. She said it had knocked the stuffing out of her and she was spending time in bed sleeping. Her face also felt quite hot although she did not have a fever. 

It transpired she had a couple of days ago been on a four hour flight; while on holiday she had got very cold, despite it being a tropical island, and it was windy.

I prescribed a remedy that exactly fitted the symptoms she described, gave her guidance on how often to take it. Within less than 24 hours I got the following text: 'I feel so much better; the pain is nearly gone which is such a relief. My nostril feels less sore and less blocked and I feel so much better in myself. I now even feel able to go back to work. '
